The Most Valuable Player award and Defensive Player award was given to Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Rookie Of The Year award was given to Ja Morant. These players have not had the easiest path to the NBA compared to others. Giannis was from Greece and was very poor and luckily got a opportunity to play in the league and ever since then has been one of the best players in the league. Ja Morant in his first year had a great year and came from a small Division 1 school and was seen as undersized but has silenced the doubters.
